# Fullscreen orientation (iOS)

You can define how the Player should behave in fullscreen by setting orientation preferences.

1. Using [`defaultFullscreenOrientation`](https://developers.dailymotion.com/v0/reference/ios-sdk-player-runtime-parameters#/defaultfullscreenorientation) parameter from `DMPlayerParameters` object passed to create Player in order to set the **default orientation when user requests fullscreen**.
2. Using the function [`setFullscreen(fullscreen: Bool, orientation: DMPlayerFullscreenOrientation? = nil)`](https://developers.dailymotion.com/v0/reference/ios-sdk-player-methods#/setfullscreenfullscreen-boolean-orientation-orientation) to **overwrite the default orientation when programmatically want to switch to fullscreen**. <br />
