Create a private API key
While some basic features and infos are available without authentication, you will need to create an API key to register your application and authenticate in order to perform more elaborate API calls.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to create a private API key. Check the compatibility matrix to make sure the endpoint you want to use is compatible.
Steps
Follow the steps below to create a public API key:
- Log into your Dailymotion Studio with an Owner or Admin account
- Go to Organization → API keys → Create API key
- Select Private API key
If you don’t see this option, please reach out to your Dailymotion Account Manager or our Support Team so we can enable it - Give a title and a description to your API key
- Add a Callback URL if needed
- Choose if this API key should be used for all the channels within your Organization or specific ones
- Define the permissions tied to the key
- Click Create
- Store your API key and API secret for the next steps
